Morning Mates, can't believe it is already Wednesday! We're enjoying another day of sunshine even though the temperature is only at -13C or 8 F.
I'm skipping skating today, my hip does not feel strong enough for me to be safe on the ice, but I will do my mile walk around the indoor pool instead. Got to keep moving or I will seize up altogether!
Trivia tonight, we will try to keep up our incredible winig streak!
Good morning from downtown Lawton, Ok where it is sunny, and cold.
Well, we are day two of our adventure. We have settled in, and everything has it's place. I have a "travel box" and bring many things from home as I can. Our own coffee mugs, dish soap, silverware, glasses, etc. Yesterday I found a pet shop within walking distance, and we added to the box, Bella's own bowls, and mat to go under it. I also discovered they do grooming, so I left Bella there to be beautified. She was not happy. I really like this location. When we were here last year, we stayed in a hotel that overlooked the interstate, and the casino, and a body shop. Nothing within walking distance. Here we have a mall, and all kinds of eating places. It is also 5 minutes from post, so Jim is able to come here for lunch.
Of course Mar. 1st is on everyone's mind. This town will also be hit hard, so it is the talk of the town. People that are non military don't realize that many times the military post is the industry, and the support of the town. It is not unusual for towns to dry up when the post is downsized.
Jim received his "e-mail" on Thursday of last week, which means in 60 days, he will be on a 4 day work week, until Sept, or until things change. It will hurt us, but I am a military wife at heart, so I adjust to whatever comes our way. But, it could have been a lot worse, and I am thankful that Jim still has a job.
Today, I will wash clothes, and maybe work out in the pool.
I hope all of you have a good day. Remember to count your blessings.
RD, don't push your hip too much. I used to have hip pain but I changed my activities and now I am pain-free.
Luanne hang in there, I know how difficult it can be because I went through o period of furloughs. We had to take off a week per month " without pay".
It was still better than not to have a job.
Have a nice day folks.

Good morning. Looks like a windy morning which is unusual in this area. I guess the Santa Anas have started.
Donna, have you had a bone density test? I just had one yesterday. My insurance allows a bone density test every two years, and I must have them as long as I take this cancer medication. The test takes about fifteen minutes. The dr. called me with the results, and they were great. And yes, you should probably change your activities.
