At least they got to enjoy their cruise

That will give new meaning when you begin to hear names paged before disembarkation begins.

We had debark delayed a few months ago because one of the pax they were going to arrest tried to hide. They would not allow anyone to debark until the guy was found...took about an hour.

Why would anyone think computer databases weren't being checked when they process through what is in essence a U.S. border? I guess that is why they are criminals - too stupid to realize what CBP does.

A friend of mine spent time in Japan and when he flew into LAX for a visit home, he was detained and spent a tense few minutes in a room with other detainees while they cleared him. It seems his name matched someone with a warrant. Good thing he had a recent federal background investigation for working nuclear power on file. Life is tough for a man named James Smith!

Hmm, I thought people knew not to cruise if they were wanted.

That's not funny for James but I did get a chuckle out of that. I once worked with a woman named Nancy Doe. She would threaten her kids by telling them she was going to change their names to John or Jane.

Well: I'm off to pay those parking tickets.

Take care,
Mike
