Morning Mates, I think we lost a day in there somewhere, couldn't get in to this site yesterday....
also can't seem to get the size font to work today so I hope you all have your glasses on!
It is supposed to be a warm and sunshiney weekend here in Pictou County and all I can say is, it's about time! We have had some sun this week, but freezing cold wind, it was not pleasant playing outside with the kids this week!
Plans today are for some garden cleanup (still too cold for planting anything), then a meeting for my summer volunteer job, followed by dinner out with friends and then trivia night. Busy day ahead!
oh, and p.s. the colour changer doesn't work either! I always make my name purple!
I will be getting together with family and friends and I will be celebrating my ( 39th. ) birthday while I'm up here.
Have a nice weekend folks.

Good morning Donna, and all those to follow. I was going to ask you how the font could be changed. I feel for Ray, as he has so much trouble reading the smaller stuff. Okay, that is better. I hope it will show up that size.
Luanne, right above the box where you type, is the font box, presently it says Verdana, you can use the drop down menu to change it, although it is not working since the big changeover yesterday.
Right next to the font box is the size box, presently its says 2. There is a drop down menu which I usually change to 3 or 4 so Ray can read it (and me too!). Again, it is not working today.
Next to the size is the letter "A", and when you click on the arrow next to it, you can choose any colour of the rainbow. Usually, not today.
Hope they fix it soon!
oh, and I see my countdown clock is not working either!
Good morning. My, all this is strange! I am happy to report that it will be cooler for all our hard working firemen. Yesterday was a mess. The biggest fire closed Pacific Coast Highway and closed two freeways.
Keith is long since gone to Riverside. I have housework to do.
I can't get either the print style or size to stay where I want them. I wish we had the old site back.
Good Morning cruisemates! I've returned to the "homeland" (back in Canada), after a very enjoyable and busy winter in Arizona.
Got to experience some of those 100 degree days in Arizona (but it's a dry heat ) Actually found nice weather when I got home with temps close to 70.
Unfortunately dragging my luggage around was enough to strain my back, so I'm half laid up today. Plus, the great joy of flying... a cold is coming on
Of course, came home to the early opening of the new site. Appears there were some opening glitches, but they are straightening them out a bit at a time.
If you're finding the default sizing a bit small... if your browser is Internet Explorer, on the top right of your screen there's a little icon that looks kind of like a washer (tools). Click on that, and you can ZOOM in to say 125% or 150%, and that will set your default for larger font size.
Sure it won't take long for all the functionality of the "old boards" to appear, and you won't even notice a difference soon.
I thought the last several days was my computer as I know it needs work.
So glad to know you and Keith are safe, Judy. Hope they get everything everything controlled and snuffed out soon.
Went to Knoxville with my "adopted" daughter and granddaughter Susan and Lauren yesterday. Sunday is Lauren's birthday and so I gave her her card early as they were going shopping (of course). I spent the afternoon with my adored niece Deanna who, along with her husband and in-laws, are leaving for a cruise to the Med. After the cruise they're going to Egypt and Israel and they'll be gone three weeks. Her husband Lucky, then came over and we all gathered together for dinner at Olive Garden before returning home last night. A truly enjoyable day. Susan, who is my PA probably had a heart attack when I bought a $300.00 Sport Coat but I figured, you only go around once and anyway, I dropped from a 50 Long to a 44 Long in a little over two months.
While I certainly wouldn't recommend my method of weight loss, I now weigh what I did in my 20's and I ain't goin' back up ever again! At least when the time finally arrives, I'll be able to be "carried by six" as opposed to needing a construction crane.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!
Oh and PS. Sincere birthday wishes out to Manuel!
