Default Angelina Jolie has both breasts removed

Angelina Jolie has both breasts removed:

I just want to say I really admire her courage to do this and to admit to doing it in public. I have met women who are so overly concerned with their breast "image" that they refuse to get mammograms, etc, because they can't stand the thought of losing one.

Yes she didn't even have cancer, just a severe predisposition to it, and she chose to remove the danger for the sake of her kids.

As a 3 time breast cancer survivor, all I can say is I applaude her for being proactive, and being open about it. I think she must have had it done in France, because, having it done here, we would have heard about it somehow.

Wishing her continued good health, and I hope her words will inspire women, in the same boat.

My mother died from breast cancer as did a sister-in-law. This test for the gene likely to cause breast cancer was not available back then. How I wish it had been.

I am very supportive of Ms. Jolie's decision and actions.

I read that too. Whatever it takes to reduce your chances, especially ifmyounhave the gene.

Myriad Genetics, Inc is the company who has the sole rights to the BRAC genetic testing. It is a simply swab of the mouth. About $2,000.

They have been scrutinized over not sharing the wealth of information and research.

There is a counseling session required prior. There are ethical and personal issues with the test. Once its done, Pandoras box is open. Your insurance company knows and can lawfully proceed accordingly.
