Default How's Todd Doing?

Don't follow this board all that carefully, and am wondering how Todd is doing.

He's a great guy, and I don't think I've ever had as much fun arguing with somebody as I have with Todd.

Updates appreciated.

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen a "Todd" post in a few days....Anyone know how he is doing?

I too have been wondering about Todd. I wonder if Trudy would know how he is.

I talked to Todd also. He was driving which IMO he should not be. But his Water heater busted and he was taking action to get it fixed.

He says he is using a wheelchair at home. His back is in bad shape bad bad bad. I don't know about him.

Will be talking to him again soon I hope.

I agree with both of you. Todd is facing some serious health issues, but I decided to speak of the good times about Todd, and leave the troubling things for him to explain.

One good thing is that Todd is surrounded by love, and people that care about him. He keeps asking me why he is so lucky, and I keep reminding him that he was always so kind, and now the kindness has returned.

To All:

I am truly humbled by everyone's concern and thank you JR, for your kind comments. I feel likewise. Also, Ray is, as always, one in a million and Luanne, Jim and Josh I consider family.

I love you all and I mean that. If I were a millionaire I would fly every last one of you here to me and show you a whale of a good time.. Sadly, I don't have the means to do that.

I am upbeat and not depressed at all but rather aggravated and angry at my inability to function normally. I shall not (and take this to the bank) go into a Nursing Home even though I'm failing rapidly in many areas. My entire back is absolutely shot. Matter of fact, my personal physician when he did a CT scan (I can't have an MRI because of the cardio defiibrilator) was stunned at the results. He can't believe I'm not rolling on the floor in pain because I'm only on hydrocodone. All my discs are wasting away and some of my vertebrae are actually sitting atop the one underneath with no disc at all in between. Obviously the Lortabs are not doing the trick vis-a-vis that pain because even though he raised me in strength, I have to take far beyond my normal dosage just to keep my sanity. This has all manifested itself in the last six weeks or so and my slide downward I'm told is almost record breaking. I'm hoping that a neurosurgeon whom I see on the nineteenth in Knoxville can do something although many (including yours truly) think there is no hope. My pain is, in a word, horrific but even worse, I can barely walk, can only climb one step and then I have to have something (such as a door jamb or a railing) with which I can pull myself up. I am falling probably an average of at least a couple of times a week because my legs are giving out and since last week, I've a wheelchair to get around the house. Nevertheless I'm not upping the pain medication beyond that which I now take until I have the whole story from Knoxville.

Again, I don't feel sorry for myself. Never have...never will. I still consider myself among the most Blessed individuals on Earth and you'uns are a significant part of that. Susan, who is unbelievably magnificent (I've never met anyone like her or her husband and children in my life) was out here on Saturday working outside with a friend. I was so ashamed and embarrassed that she was doing such hard work that (I probably shouldn't say this buy I'm "me" and I lay it all out) went into the bedroom and just let the tears flow. I have NEVER been dependent on anyone and it kills me to be so. For what it's worth, I have long insured that Susan and her family will reap their unmitigated support in a tangible way..you can also take that too the bank!

On another topic, I had a long conversation with Scott Jones, the huge guy who runs the shop on the History Channel's, "Countin' Cars." Danny Koker's outfit along with those at Pawn Stars and Rick Dale at American Restorations who make up, for lack of abetter term, a "trilogy." All of them are truly for real and they've interacted since long before TV arrived. Scott told me to come to Vegas and he'd show me everything and I'd meet everyone. Sadly, I don't think that physically I can make it as much as I'd love to go.

Again, Bless each and everyone of you and while I just can't be as regular and prompt as I was, I'll still be here as much as I can.

To repeat: Know this! I absolutely LOVE each and everyone of you, and that includes those with whom I've enjoyed going toe to toe with such as AR, whom I also so badly wanted to meet.

You all will always be my "Treasures.

Love,

TDH

Todd, I know that it sucks to have to rely on others to help but sometimes that what it comes down to. You help so many people that you should not be ashamed to let others help you. I hope you get good news from the doctor you see. xoxo

Hang in there, friend.

Even though we've never met in person, I'm privileged to say that I think I know you well. I admire your courage and strength beyond my ability to express it.
