This morning, June 1st, at age 11 years and one month, our Emma crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge.
Yesterday she was feeling so much better that she and Griffin went for a nice walk with James, and last night we took them both to our favourite pub/coffeehouse to sit on the front porch and do what Emma loved best: greet the customers. We were approached by a young woman who writes a blog on facebook about the People of Pictou County, and she took our picture and wrote a little story about us. What a beautiful memory of Emma's last night with us, she was so happy... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater

I know you were so encouraged when she rallied yesterday, but, her last day on earth she was doing what she did best, and loving it...I am sure she will be the doggy version of Pearl Mesta, in heaven...greeting all the poochies, and getting them their wings..xo
Trip, with her book & tea!

Donna, I know the pain of losing a cherished fur baby, and my thoughts and prayers are with you and James now as you learn to be a family without her. What a wonderful last memory you have of the day you spent with her yesterday. Cherish those memories. (((HUGS)))
Donna, I'm absolutely destroyed to hear of Emma's passing. I so know what you're going through as I have long felt due to your wonderful descriptions as if I knew Emma as my own.
I reach out if only in words to hug you and James during your time of grief. I know it provides you some comfort that you feel that Emma is now in that world where there is no pain, plenty of joy and sunshine and where she will spend eternity.
May God Bless and comfort you both.

So sorry to hear that Emma has passed. She was such a beautiful dog. I hope that your memories of her will provide you some comfort. Sending prayers to all of you.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Sorry to hear about your loss. I know I haven't been around for a long time (just lurking) because of a change in jobs, but I thought I'd check in one time. I remember you writing fondly throughout the years about Emma. Hang in there!
