Morning Mates, it is June 2nd and I am so glad June 1st is over, probably the most difficult day I ever had to get through.
Losing Emma was bad enough, but witnessing her having 3 seizures in 4 hours and go downhill so fast was just devastating. I had such a stress headache all day and night, but am feeling better this morning. I will love her and miss her forever..
Donna: I know how hard it is. Kramer's last day wasn't easy to get through so I know how tough it is. The good part is that it does get easier but they never really leave you. The only thing I don't miss about Kramer is "the hair". The once a week vacuuming is sure nice.
Today is our Anniversary. We really have nothing special planned. We are heading out in just over a week for a tour of the Southwest. We'll be meeting up, in Las Vegas, with my cousins from Australia and have five days of fun. Then we are going to visit friends in Flagstaff, Phoenix and Yuma. (Too bad the snowbird Moose won't be around. I would love to knock on his door and really mess up his day. ) From there we will head back east and explore New Mexico and head across Texas to visit my brother in Dallas. From there we'll head home with no real schedule other than we have to be home by July 7th. That trip will be our Anniversary present.
I hope all have a great Sunday and wonderful upcoming week.

Donna, hugs go out to you and James as you learn to be a family without Emma.
We are laying low today, trying to stay cool. It's supposed to be 109 or so this afternoon, after yesterday's high of 108. A little Diamondbacks baseball on TV INDOORS sounds good to me!
Mike, you couldn't have picked a HOTTER time of the year to come to the desert southwest! Late June always has the highest temperatures of the whole summer, albeit "it's a dry heat!" Over 115 degrees is not uncommon for June. Are you sure you aren't just plain nuts??!! If your itinerary weren't already full, you could just turn it into a "Jennifer" trip. My daughter lives in Las Vegas, I'm from Flagstaff and my mother and one brother still live there, and I'm in Mesa, a Phoenix suburb! Have a happy anniversary and enjoy your trip!
