Default Quilt in progress

Hi all so I'm still working on my quilt. This will be a display quilt like a banner.

Here is my layout I still need boarders and 4 side blocks. But I'm pleased with the results. It's interesting working on something so small. The end quilt will probably only be about 30 inches long and 20 inches wide. That's small for 10 different characters.

It's based on the characters for the TV show Supernatural. All the two guys with the flames are the evil guys on the show. The guy with the sock puppet on his hand is Garth and his friend is Mr. Fizzles.

No worries I have a Futura singer sewing machine and previous quilt experience so I can assemble the quilt myself. I will also do the machine quilting it myself instead of hiring a long arm quilting service to do it. I'm not the best machine quilter but I like having a product that is 100% my work. I can't free motion quilt at all. So I will probably stich in the ditch and do some diagonal into the background farbic.

I might also 3D the wings I saw a neat quilt at the state fair with 3D flower petals and I loved the effect.

The finished product will be 30 inches lone and 20 inches wide. the individual blocks are 6x6 and the wide blocks and 6 inches high 12 inches long. I will sew a pocket into the backing in order to hang it up. This is the smallest quilt I have worked on. So of the eye pieces were 1/4 inch big. I dropped one on the ground I got no clue where it went.

I plan on using white boarders around the blocks. I'm going to a convention for the TV show Supernatural my plan is to have each actor autograph under their quilt block.
