Quite the beautiful day out there..wish I could appreciate it. My kids are in the air as we speak, winging their way to a new beginning in North Carolina. Last night was pretty rough...
To add to my full plate, my boss called me yesterday to tell me, his tenant at will tenure, was over, and the store will be closing at the end of the month. I feel so bad. The store opened in 1929, during the depression, and had a long history of catering to the carriage trade. He's a bit too young to retire, so his life is up in the air,and it's tough to contemplate, what will happen..All my jewelry too, will be marked down.,and I don't know if I will move forward with it...
Not a happy post today, but, you make it a good one.

Wow, spent the better part of today trying to catch up with all going on here at Cruisemates. Returned Monday, about 1:00 am from our Baltic cruise on Princess. Still trying to recuperate and get back to a normal routine!
Upper 70's and cloudy today. We had a really hot spell while we were gone. Girls watched the house for us and checked on the doggies (and brought them home on Sunday) for us. Younger DD left a really nice (?) surprise for us in the freezer. She placed 5 cans of Mountain Dew into the freezer to get cold and promptly forgot about them. We remembered them for her on Monday!!!! Lovely mess to clean up on first day back from vacation. Reality smack!
Well, other stuff to get done! Hope all cruisemates have a good day and a good weekend soon to start!

Trip, I do understand how you feel with your "kids moving away". We sent both of our daughters to the University of Maryland, where they both met their husbands, and have remained in the Washington, D.C. area ever since. (one on the Maryland side of the Potomac and the other on the Virginia side of the Potomac). The fortunate thing is that they are both three-and-a-half hours away by car. We do get to see the kids on holidays, and at other times of the year. I do worry, that the drive will be getting harder as Rob and I get older but we will have to take "one day at a time".
