Default It's Tuesday, and Yes, it's the 20th!

Morning Mates, yes it is the 20th today, yesterday I was ahead of myself...

I am trying to get out early for aquafit at the other pool which is farther away. The only compensation for that is that they have a hot tub for afterwards, which will feel real good on my aching muscles, after all the gardening I finished on Sunday. Here are the results:

Good morning all:

Not feeling the greatest this morning. Though I haven't drank anything of significance in a very long time, I feel like I have a hangover. I wonder what Betty's been putting in my iced tea? It could be just all the house cleaning and fighting my way out of that garbage bag and climbing out of the Salvation Army drop box has caught up with me.

Maybe I'm subliminally making myself feel icky because Betty's last words before she left this morning were: "When I get home we are finishing that basement." Ahhhh! She has the idea that she is going to have a "Garage Sale". Sure, like that's going to happen. I think the Salvation Army, Courage Center or other pick up service will be receiving a call. I'll take the tax deduction rather than all it takes to do a garage sale. Though I am always amazed that people buy, what I consider, junk. The one good thing is that our last four garage sales we have donated 1/2 the proceeds to the local food shelf. I think there's a couple of hundred in my change jar. I'll give em that instead.

When it actually seems like her mind is made up about the garage sale I remind her that she only has two weeks before she goes to Europe. That sends her into another panic and takes her mind off of "Garage Sales". I'm a very mean husband.

Well: I only have two hours of free time left and I think I need some aspirin and another cup of coffee. I hope everyone has a wonderful and garage sale free Tuesday.

Donna: Sorry about the pink font yesterday. You posted your message after the PHP codes for color and font and it looked weird. I changed it but being color blind I had thought it was purple. Don't hate me for it.

Take care,

Good Morning

Temps have really heated up around here just in time for back to school, I'm happy D/S has central air in his school.

Grocery shopping for me today and some laundry.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone from a nice, sunny, Texas. We are only going up to 95 later today, which is great.

I am sitting here watching 18 years being cut down. We moved into our house, 18 years ago. Behind our house was a little seedling. We have watered it, and watched it grow to maturity, and help to cool our house.

One week ago, I told Jim we needed to find someone who could trim it, because it was now covering the power lines.

This morning I see the city outside cutting our tree up. The tree is on our property, but is on the line to city property. They wanted to get in the yard to pick up limbs, and of course Jake was having none of that. I saw what they were doing so I put Jake in the house, and gave them the key to the yard. I see now, they are cutting the entire top off the tree.

It is so sad, and Jim will be shocked, but at least it won't cost us anything to have it done. Of course I would have requested a trim, but I guess it was easier to cut it off.

Not much planned for today. Jim finally got the go ahead to put his truck in the shop. Our insurance will take care of it, and then go after the other two insurance companies, who both say it wasn't their fault. Funny they come to this conclusion, since Jim was rear ended, by both vehicles.

This means I don't have my car during the day, so no errands for me.

I hope all of you have a good day.

Don't worry Mike about the pink post, I thought it was my fault, because only my name was supposed to be purple, not the whole thing. Typing on this tablet instead of the old computer sometimes leads to surprises....

And speaking of garage sales, I am planning one too. Last week when I cleaned the garage I decided a lot of it had to go, so that's my plan for Aug. 31. It is also an opportunity to donate some proceeds to a local charity, a local veteran whom is confined to a wheel chair after an accident. His friends and family are trying to raise enough money to get him an accessible van so he won't be house-bound anymore.

Good morning. No yard work, no garage sales, no trees being cut down, just meatball soup at Norm's.

Have a good day, people.
