It's 10:30 here in Barrow Upon Soar and I just rolled my rear out of bed.
It was a rough night, last night. It was "Quiz Night" at the pub and the team I was on were victorious and won a whole 20 pounds. The problem was that everyone was buying me drinks. Ooops. I'm glad the pub is only 75 yards away from the cottage.
I'm not use to heavy drinking and I'm paying for it. Exedrine and water are my friends. Oh well, I'll suffer for a while but it sure was fun. I have a number of Law Enforcement friends and relatives and I'm always amazed at how much they can put away. Our team were all police officers, except me.
Today we are babysitting. My cousin is in a pinch because of a doctor's appointment and we will be taking care of one of her kids and later pick the other up at school. It's a good thing since Betty is starting to go through grandkid withdrawal.
I hope all are doing well and enjoying Fall. Well, it's off to rehydrate.

Mike it's great to hear that you are having a great time.
We are week away from making another trip to Connecticut. Otherwise life goes on and we have plenty of activities to keep us busy.
Have a great day folks.

Mike, did you ever see the British TV series "The Thin Blue Line"? (ask your hosts). I remember an episode where the whole precinct was studying and very serious about the local pub trivia night.
Congratulations on your win, but take it easy on your poor head!
Another lovely sunny fall day here, the colours are just spectacular, such a pleasant drive wherever you go... this morning I am packing to see if I can fit everything in, then later I might be unpacking some...
Good morning all! Hope the day is going good for everyone.
Pretty much same old same old around here. The weather is finally starting to cool down to more of a fall-like temperature. A little rain last night/this morning and now sunny, but only low 60's for the day.
Mike M. - glad to see you enjoying the vaca; there was an article in the news recently about drinking Sprite (I think) to get past a hangover, may want to google it
Manuel - boy, you sure have been busy traveling all over the eastern US this year!
RD - gotta love cruise packing!; can I fit into your carry on?????
Aerogirl - wow, you beat me in putting on the flannel sheets; I thought I was always early/late in putting them on/off!!!
Well, got stuff to do, so I best get at it. Tomorrow is a day out and about (two doctors, groceries/errands and other fun!).
Had to google your location, a new one to me. Sounds wonderful.

Good morning. No need for flannel sheets here. it's gonna be 90 today. Keith just went to the gym, and I plan to do some house work.
Tomorow is a round of pre-surgery tests for Keith. I'm going with to get a flu shot. Keith had an expensive session with the dentist yesterday. He had a broken bridge. It was either fix it or the surgeon would do the surgery. Tomorrow's my turn, and I'm usually the expensive one when it comes to dentists. Whatever is wrong will have to wait . . .
