Default Moving back to Vegas.

Good evening my CM friends. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm moving back toVegas. Most of you know I moved there in 2009 and moved back to Orlando in August 2013 after being laid off.

What I thought was a good move, turned out to be not so good. I loved the thought of moving home to be close to family and back to where I was 10 yrs prior to moving to Vegas.

Things have changed. I love my family, but don't see much of them as they have family and jobs that keep them busy.

I don't like Orlando anymore. It's boring as hell and expensive! Everything is kid focused and $100/person just to get into a park. No adult fun is to be found, other than 20 something clubs downtown that have no draw for me. Orlando needs to grow up. No desire for 30+ yr olds to come here and think they will have fun.

People here think they have this sense of 'all about me all the time and I'm always right' which drives me crazy. I'll stop with this, as anything I post about this will be taken the wrong way by someone.

Orlando is a cesspool of gossip and rumors. I've met with many friends here and all they have to do is talk about other friends and most of what they say, I know not to be the truth. At least in Vegas, people don't give a sh$t about me and don't discuss me. I like not being the focus of inaccurate discussion.

I also have been staying with in St. Cloud, FL, just outside of Orlando. All I have to say is Redneck Hell. Now I grew up in KY, so I know redneck, but this is awful. I'm embarrassed for those who live here and I'm embarrassed to say I resided here, if only for 2.5 months. Armpit of Florida. That is all I have to say.

Jodi

It's tough to "go home" sometimes. I know exactly what you're talking about, as I moved back "home" after my military service, and lasted about a year before I moved from Indianapolis, to Tampa. Been in this area ever since.
The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I were looking forward to seeing you again, but perhaps that'll happen in Vegas. Be safe, and keep in touch.

Ken, What are you doing this weekend? I'm probably not heading out until Tuesday.

For that matter, what is anyone else in the area doing this weekend?

People don't get it, that sometimes one cannot "go home" once you've led a different lifestyle while those still there have changed with change. We remember things as they "were".

I moved to Palm Coast, Florida two years ago. I do not want to go home.
Palm Coast is my home. We have plenty of friends here and we love this area.

WOW,, We'd love to meet up with you, but I'm putting the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) on a plane for Venice, Italy tomorrow, and after that, I'm in charge of our little "doggie sitting" business, and I've got two little visitors here for the week end. Sorry! We have been talking about doing "Vegas" one of these days, so I'm serious about seeing you there. As noted,,,keep in touch with us, and we'll see you there.

Jodi, I wish you the best for your move back to Vegas. You were here such short time. I had hoped to get to see you at a dinner. Best of luck with your job hunting. I hope that you find a great one. Safe travels Jodi.
