Default Early Saturday morning

Good morning Mates

Since I'm up early I decided to put in my two cents worth.

We don't have much planned for today since we had a full day yesterday and tomorrow we have a picnic with all the bells and whistles.

I wish you all a nice Saturday and a great weekend.

TM

Good morning from the Nutmeg State, Manuel and all to follow.

We too are "up in the morning with the rising sun"; actually we were up well before the rising sun.

We are driving up to Shelburne Falls, MA today. There is a artists cooperative (for lack of a better word) there we want to visit. It's also the home of the Bridge of Flowers, although I doubt there will be too many flowers left. If you Google Shelburne Falls MA, you will be able to find out about both of these should you be interested.

From there it's off to New York state, just past Saratoga to, (don't laugh) buy a pie ! There is a small farm bakery out in the boonies that sells the best tasting pies, and we are in the mood for an apple pie, so.....

Then back home. Should be a full day. The weather promises to be great, and hopefully we will se some foliage, although it may be just past peak that far up. We shall see.

35 days from today we will embark on Summit......

So to all who follow, have a great week end.

I will be visiting the Nutmeg State in a few days. It was my home for 54 years.

Morning Mates, Sid and Manuel, the "nutmeg state" is just the kind of question we often get playing trivia. Here in Canada we know a lot more about the U.S .than you may think!

I played trivia last night with 40 teams of 8, yes, that's 320 people! It was a big hall, there was yummy food and lots of fun and laughs. We didn't win, but one of my team mates won the raffle prize - a 50" flat screen TV! He was shocked!

Today is a hang around the house day, 1st Saturday I've had off since the Hector opened last May. It's closed for the season now...
Tonight we are going to see my favourite Beatles imitation band, REPLAY. I've seen them a few times now, and they have become friends. I'm going to surprise them with something I made for them. I'll post a pic tomorrow....

Default Early Saturday Morning

Well, not so early Saturday morning! Keith went off in a flurry to Riverside along with his son. There's a special presentation today of a light painting of the1903 Wright Flyer to the elderly man who thought up the project many years ago. The photograph is beautiful. We're going to the project manager's 80th birthday party at the end of the month.

I'm stuck with some housework that I don't want to do, then off to lunch and shopping.

It is a nice Saturday night and my husband, Rob, is working at a fundraiser for CLAMS (Cyclists Legs Against Multiple Sclerosis). My mother, may she rest in peace, suffered from this disease for twenty years. I am definitely proud of Rob! Speaking of the Nutmeg state, my father used to own a camp in Ridgefield. I spent three glorious summers there! All I did today was to hit a few garage sales and pack; we are going out of town next friday for our elder grandson's birthday party, on saturday; kids grow up too fast!
