Good morning Cruisemates! As I sit here at work, the lights have gone out and we are on a generator at the moment. Just a few moments ago, a strong front came through and brought lightning which cut our power and the rain is coming down sideways... literally! It will be in Galveston shortly which will cause chaos for those who are just arriving to port from the Carnival Magic! In about an hour, the weather should be through the area and we will see clear skies this late afternoon.
Take care everyone!
Cruised more times than I can remember.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.
Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.
It is a cool crisp and VERY windy day here at Barrow Upon Soar. The hedges in the garden are bending as are the trees.
Yesterday we had a lovely get together here at the cottage. It was a fun family gathering.
I missed the English time change. Their clocks went back one hour last night and I didn't have a clue until I noticed the time on my phone and computer were one hour behind my watch. So what did I do. I went back to bed for an hour.
Today we don't have too much on the agenda until this evening. My cousins will be over for dinner. A roast pork loin, Brazilian potatoes, leaks and peas and a mango and sticky rice dessert are on the menu.
Betty is having a problem posting Facebook pictures so I guess that means I have to go to her rescue.
Have a great Sunday

Good afternoon Mates, a lazy start today...like Michael and Luanne, it is stormy here, heavy rain, wind, not many leaves left on the trees...November is coming!
Meanwhile, I am packed and ready to go. I will probably pop in early tomorrow for one final goodbye, but meanwhile, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go!
Good morning. A sunny day here in SoCal but not for long, as we are promised rain on Monday or Tuesday. I'll believe it when I see it.
We went to an 80th birthday party last night. About 100 people. The guest of honor celebrated all day and all night. A fancy party at a fancy house in a fancy neighborhood. The food was delicious and a good time was had by all.
Good news for Wendell, too. He's out of the ICU and in a regular hospital room.
We will see "The Sunshine Boys" today. Have a good day, people.
The weather over here is quite nice but a bit cool and there is still some spectacular foliage.

Good afternoon from the Arizona desert, where I think we're headed for about 90 degrees today. However, that colder air which is headed Judy's way will be here later in the week. They say we may have highs only in the 70's! What a change in the space of only a few days!
Since my countdown clock says 2 months and 8 days until we cruise on the Serenade of the Seas out of New Orleans, we are starting to review the wardrobe and make sure that any laundry, dry cleaners, or repairs get done in good time. I have reserved excursions in Jamaica and Grand Cayman, but we have our favorite things to do in Cozumel, so no excursions there. Can you tell we're getting excited? Ha Ha!
Good Afternoon everyone. RD I wish you and James a wonderful cruise. I hope the weather is perfect for you.
I spent a busy morning getting things done for my cruise. My passport arrived yesterday after only one week since I sent it for renewal. Today I finished online check in, printed my documents, purchased insurance. Suitcase is out and ready to start "receiving" the things I come across that I do no want to forget. I just toss them in there until it is time to pack. I am excited to be sure.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
