Default Monday Countdown to Christmas!

Morning Mates, are you ready? Only 2 more days!
I'm as ready as I'm going to be, since I'm not really giving many gifts this year, I am so broke, what's done is done and that's it. House is decorated, no baking or cooking done, and we're just hoping the weather clears up so we can get to our friends' on Christmas day.
Today is dull and wet, but with threats of more freezing rain. I HAVE to go into town today to apply for medical leave benefits and unemployment. It was such a long wait last summer, the sooner the better.
Have a good Monday everyone1

Good morning Donna and everyone:

It's a cold and snowy morning here in the Northland. I had a great weekend with my brother, nephew, and friends. We went up north for Walleye fishing. We rented some nice, "sleep in" houses and then proceeded to catch a bunch of nice fish. Even though it was -10F outside we were toasty warm inside the ice houses. I hope my Facebook friends paid attention to the picture of me and my first fish because after that the "curse" went into effect. I never caught another fish for the rest of the weekend. Everyone else did well but I had the voodoo on me. I had a few up to the hole but they got off. No matter; it was a great time and what others caught made up for my lack of production and I did bring home fish.

Today is a trip to the doctor. I believe I wrote last week about the woman who passed me on the icy road and then went into the ditch. Well, I did something to my back when I got her out of the car and, as the saying goes: "No good deed goes unpunished." I am still paying for it. Lower back is making it hard to move and the pain is going down the front of my right leg. Hopefully a dose of steroids will take care of the problem. We'll see.

We also have to do some Christmas food shopping today. We'll be having our big Christmas dinner of Thursday but with the stores closed on Christmas we'll need to get our Prime Rib and some other things today. I know Costco will be a madhouse but I am prepared.

I hope everyone has a great Monday and a wonderful upcoming Christmas.

Take care,
Mike

Hi Kids,
Warmish, rainy, and dreary, which means I am not going out except to drag out the trash. tomorrow a trip to the bank for a crisp $100 bill, and then the curtain falls...We did food shopping Saturday for the big day,and surprisingly the 2 stores we went to were not bad,and we parked easily.

I need to start prepping and cooking to free up real estate in the fridge, afraid to open the door!

Well, that's all folks...make it a good one, and, enjoy your holiday!

Good morning

I think I see the sun peeking out at me, lets hope it stays around for a little while.
All my shopping and gift wrapping is done , this year I didn't get the chance to bake cookies because of being sick but maybe I'll make some before the new year .
Tomorrow we have tickets to go see the play The Christmas Schooner and then a nice dinner.

Default Monday Countdown to Christmas

Good morning. Sunny and warm and about to get warmer, so I hear. Maybe 80 on Christmas Day.

My shopping and wrapping are done, so I'll just sit here and wait . . .
