Good morning Cruisemates! It is Christmas Eve and in Houston, we are at or below freezing in most of the metro area with clear skies. We should be able to see Santa in his sled tonight as he crisscrosses the skies to the delight of children of all ages. I used to enjoy the cold days of the holidays to put me into the spirit. Key words here... used to. It will be a quiet celebration for my household. There is only Sandra and I so we put no decorations up to our own dismay! Time just moves so quickly now that it passes by before we can even blink! Have a most wonderful day friends!
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.
Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.
It's cold out there! I was looking at rental properties in FT Meyers just to see what the rents are like as I don't plan of being up here in Chicago for another winter or at least part of it. I figure we can try different areas of FL each winter, hopefully D/H will join me
I have a cake to whip up and a spinach dip before we go see our play today.
Wishing all of my friends here a blessed and joyous Christmas....I love you all!
I agree that it is cool for Texas but still quite warm compared to most of the country. The sun does shine and the wind don't blow, so I'll open the door and out I'll go. We also don't have any decorations outside, and it will be a nine pound turkey for the two of us. Merry day before Christmas to all of you.
Good morning. It's gonna be a warm one in SoCal. I just went out for the paper and it was already pretty balmy.
We didn't put up a tree or decorations, either. We also won't have our usual Christmas dinner of Coc au vin. That's Keith's specialty and he can't stand long enough to prepare it. We did some last minute shopping yesterday and it was difficult for him.
Good Morning Cruise Mates, No decorations here either. I have not put up a tree in many years. for a person alone it is a lot of work. I have nothing to put under it anyway. I as hoping to get to town tonight and see the lights but it looks like that won't happen either. Perhaps next year. I just want to wish all the Cruise Mates a wonderful and happy Christmas with our loved ones.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
It's Christmas Eve and there is always some sadness in many families even at this festive time.
I wish you all, Blessings and Peace and hope that Christmas brings some joy to everyone.

Merry Christmas! We will have the kids, grand kids and our 2 mothers for Christmas day. We do not have presents for each other, under the tree, since we took advantage of the "black Friday" cruise sale and booked ourselves back to back cruises in early 2015.
