Default Frosty Friday

Good morning Mates

It cooled down to 30F this morning. There is some frost on the lemons this morning, I went out and sprayed them with the garden hose.

Now that Friday is here, I hope that you all are gearing up for a great weekend.

Morning mates, and Manuel, it is colder in Florida this morning than in Nova Scotia! We are at +5C or 41F, very warm for January. Unfortunately, it is still raining, foggy and dull. What I wouldn't give for some sunshine, warmer temps and beaches.....
No great plans for the day, nor for the weekend, I'll just play it by ear. Have a good one,

donna

Got down to 33 degrees about 1 A.M. here in Lakeland, Florida. I've got our young citrus trees covered, so don't think they'll suffer any damage. Supposed to be bright and sunny today, and warm back up to 60 degrees or so. Come on down Donna. By the time you get here, It'll be back up to the high seventies or so!

Good morning everyone

We're at about 13f but should make into the mid 20's later today.

TM ....I would love to have a lemon tree in my backyard ....love the smell. Every springing I buy a plant called lemon balm and throughout the summer Ill pick a leaf and rub it to smell the fresh lemon scent......D/H thinks I'm crazy

Wishing all my mates a blessed day.

RD.... What's going on with James and his tests?

Good morning from a sunny and balmy Minnesota. It's -8F outside. That's -22C for our friends to the north.

It is supposed to be sunny for part of the day with a high around 11F but snow is moving in again tonight with 1" to 4" possible. Betty is going to get real proficient with that snowblower. Yesterday we had blizzard conditions and the snow that drifted was like a rock and even hard for the big blower to handle. I had to show Betty how to let the machine do the work and not try to "manhandle" it like she does me.

Nothing on the agenda for today. Perhaps we'll see a movie or go out for dinner tonight. Only time will tell.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Take care,
Mike

Good Morning cruisemates. Sitting here on my patio perch in our AZ winter escape condo, enjoying my morning coffee.

We've enjoyed several weeks of temps in the 70s while most of the country was doing the polar vortex plunge.

Doing lots of golfing, and lots of eating. Cruise friends from Missouri, who bought a place here last spring have been here for a bit, and Mrs Kuki has enjoyed going to auctions and estate sales with them, while they furnish the place., as well as taking her art classes.

It's golf for me this morning, and then a friend from Chicago has invited us for what he promises to be a ribfest, with ribs he's ordered in from somewhere called the Montgomery Inn, in Cincinnati, Ohio...where he grew up.

Being a rib lover, looking forward to what he claims are the best of the best.

Hope all our cruisemates are well.

My DW loves the fresh lemons, I love my fig trees and have four of them. When they get bigger, I might remove one o them.

Default Frosty Friday

Good morning. The big news here is that horrific fire set by three young neanderthals doing drugs in the San Gabriel Mtns., kids who don't have the brains to read newspapers or watch the news telling of nearly zero humidity and high winds, and no sense of responsibility. Fortunately, alert residents notified the police and they were caught. But not before 1700 plus acres burned along with five houses. That was as of last night.
There, I'll get off my soap box . . .

No weekend plans here, either. Well, Keith will go to Riverside as usual. I had good news from the oncologist. He has dismissed me and I must promise to take the "anti-cancer" pills with the long name for six more months. I am now a five-year survivor.

And speaking of lemon trees, two neighbors have orange trees that are bursting with fruits. So pretty and so good!

Have a good day.

Judy

Judy, I'm very sad that those fires are causing so much destruction. I hope that they are brought under control soon.

Judy, glad to hear you are "dismiised" by your oncologist!
