Morning Mates, I don't know what happened yesterday, I somehow missed posting at all!
that is what happens I guess when you go back to work and have to get up extra early!
Yes, you heard that right, back to work. My "retirement" lasted a total of 7 weeks. I got an offer I couldn't refuse, and I am now working part time, 3 mornings a week teaching pre-school, which was my first love. I much prefer the little ones to the big ones I've been working with the past 4 years.
Today however is a "day off". I am still able to go to aquafitness twice a week, which is a godsend for me, and today I also go to physio. My back is doing well and I want to keep it that way.
Welcome home Mike, I hope this weather is not too much of a shock for you....
We had about six inches of snow yesterday along with fairly strong winds. The plow guy hadn't come at 2:00 p.m. so I just went ahead and attacked the driveway. The drift on the east side of my driveway is now over 5' high.
I think I want to go back to Maui. Actually, I loved Maui and it is a beautiful place to vacation but I don't know if I would actually like to live there. I think I would develop "Island Fever" in about six months and the housing costs are ridiculous for what you get. However, they do have Costco. So that is a plus.
Speaking of Costco. Today will be a Costco and shopping day. We need to stock up since we basically left nothing in the fridge while we were gone and what we did have was eaten by the grandkids on Saturday and Sunday.
We should have a few nice days but they are forecasting "Snowmageddon 24" for Sunday night and Monday. As Trip says: "OY VEY"
Donna: Congrats on the new job. Enjoy the pre-schoolers.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday and wonderful week.

Good morning mates. It's beautiful here. I hope it stays that way. I'd love to be out in it working on the yard but I have a ruptured disc in my neck. I just started on a low dose of neurontin late last week, so I'm not in shape to do much more than go out and sit at this point. I'll up my dose later in the week.
Donna, congrats on the job. You'll have cruise money now.
Mike, sorry you had to come back to reality.
I've been texting with Todd this morning. He seems to be doing all right other than being a bit lonely.
Good morning. Sweater weather here but not for long.
Yes, Hawaii has always been expensive, even as a vacation. I wouldn't want to live there, either. I'd feel too cut off.
I'm sure some of you have been in the spot we're in: it's time to sell the car. Breaks my heart, because I've always loved it. But it's aging and has had a couple of expensive repairs, both being necessary. The one today was $475. Couple weeks ago, $500.
Good evening from Virginia Beach where, finally, the temperature reached above 40! Tomorrow, it is supposed to go above 60. I have never encountered such "crazy weather", before. As per usual, I went to the gym in the morning and did some errands on the way back. Right now Rob and I are glued to the television watching the Olympics! Hope that all of my fellow cruisemates had a terrific day.
