Good morning Donna, Timmy and all.
Yes, it's the first day of Spring and we may see 40F here.
The four foot drifts in my yard aren't really a sign of spring but I have to remember that they were five feet high a week ago.
I'm feeling quite good today. The gut has calmed down and my "soft" diet is pretty easy to accomplish. Yesterday, I went for my surgical consult. I'm now waiting for the surgical scheduler to call me to get it on the calendar. It should be within the next two weeks and, if things are routine, I should be in the hospital two or three days and then on a full liquid diet for two weeks.
Yuck. I'll be living off of broth and Ensure. I guess Bourbon or Vodka aren't part of the full liquid diet so that's off the table.
Oh well, I'll probably continue to lose weight. I've lost 22 pounds in the last month and could stand to lose 20 more. So there is a silver lining to the cloud.
Today, I will get something accomplished. I have to start adding up receipts and incorporating files and begin tax preparation. I have been bad in the last few months and not entering receipts into my spreadsheet and I will now have to pay for it. At least I have the 1099's and other documents stored so I will only have to copy them into the tax prep software. I've put it off too long. I know that once I get my butt in gear I can finish it in about three or four hours. I then have to do my Mother-In-Law's and son's taxes. Those will take less than an hour.
Well, nothing will be accomplished unless I start. I hope all have a great day and a wonderful weekend.
