Default Congratulations to UCONN!

I think that it was quite a feat for both the Men and the Women teams of the University of Connecticut to win the NCAA Basketball championships.

So I congratulate both teams for their accomplishments.

Great Job UCONN!

Manuel...did you not live and work in CT before you retired...agreed they achieved an amazing feat for both their mens/womens program,,,,been a UCONN b-ball follower since the 60's when a local player from Poughkeepsie NY Wes Bialasoukia was a hot shooting All American Guard

However, if you look at UCONN's NCAA ranking for Division 1 b-ball athletes who earn a degree in 5 years, they are in the bottom tier

I trust their new coach (who I like) will build a program where they excel in both areas and I hope the school structures his contract with incentives that equally rewards ($$$$$$) him for achieving both objectives

FYI...the best school to send your child to play college sports at a big time program and earn a degree in 5 years....Notre Dame

Venice, I don't dispute your facts.

I just wand to say again.

Great Job UCONN!

Yes, I did live in Connecticut for over fifty years and yes one of my daughters does have a Masters Degree from UCONN and she is doing very well.

But today I am simply congratulating the UCONN Men and Women for their athletic achievement.

Manuel...so noted and they deserve the moment in the spotlight...so does this mean you will have your daughter send you two championship teeshirts to wear in Florida to have bragging rights when you are in public

Venice, I actually have a lot of UCONN stuff such as a nice Jacket which I can't wear very often in Florida.

My daughter did order T shirts for us as soon as the game was over.

I actually will be going to CT this summer for a Jazz Festival so I am sure I will see many UCONN National Champion teeshirts (born in Litchfield County)

We have alot of Jazz cruisers from CT on our charter and one of the theme days is wear your favorite sports team jersey or teeshirt and "brag"...this year they will have alot to bragg about

Venice enjoy your trip to Ct.
I was not born there myself but my son and my two daughters were born in Hartford.
I worked for United Technologies for 35 years.
When my daughter was going to UCONN, I loved making the trip to the Storrs campus.

I have four trips planned there this year.
