Morning Mates, hope you are enjoying a holiday Friday. Pretty much everything is closed around here so it will be a stay at home day, or maybe later I'll go down to the ship, there are a lot of labour jobs and cleaning to do to get ready for our opening in May, and prior to our opening, we are getting a visit from royalty! Prince Charles and Camilla are coming to Pictou, solely to visit the ship Hector! Our little town is pretty excited about this, and volunteers are working furiously to get ready.
Have a good weekend everybody!
I was up "dark and early" this morning. It was the infamous 4:30 a.m. airport run, to take my sister and BIL. She and my BIL are going to California for two weeks. We are taking care of the "furry kids" so there is the sound of puppy feet in the house once more.
Today is "prep" day for Easter dinner. We are having our Easter dinner tomorrow because I can only eat soft food and liquids on Sunday in preparation for Monday's surgery. The menu will be an easy one. Grilled steaks, baked sweet and regular potatoes, Brussels sprouts and, good old, frozen corn for the kids. I wanted braised rabbit but Betty said no.
I hope all of you have a very good, Good Friday, and a wonderful Easter. If you're not observing Easter then have a darn good weekend.

Here in Ottawa we have overcast skies on this Good Friday. We will be having our Easter dinner this afternoon with our two mothers plus our daughters and their families. The preparation is complete and the turkey is in the oven. My mother is in her 92nd year and my mother-in-law will be 87 in July so we always enjoy being able to get them together with the younger ones.
Donna, it will be an exciting time having the Royals visit and until I read your post I had forgotten that they would be visiting Canada.
The rest of our weekend will be busy getting ready for our departure for Pigeon Forge on Monday. We will be stopping in Lexington, KY for 2 nights on the way there.
Have a great weekend everyone!
