Default Happy Veterans Day

I would like to wish all the Veterans out there a very happy day.
Today after many years have passed I certainly remember the hardships that I went thru in Vietnam 66/67.
I am sure that you all have many stories to tell.

I also want to say to those who are serving today " thank you for your service "

It seems that the job of serving our Country is never over.

November 11, Remembrance Day in Canada.
A time to remember those who died for our freedom. Sadly, they're still out there, still fighting, and all we can say is Thank You.

I was able to snag a corner aft <we had middle aft > with bigger balcony and a little savings as well <same category just closer to sailing> 30 more days! My husband was in the military when we met he has to work today and many who have the day off have not even served . what a great injustice! Anyways...everyone have a good day.

Good morning to all and a big "Thank You" to all veterans and active duty servicemen and women.

Returned yesterday afternoon from the "Great 2014 Deer Hunt". I harmed no deer. It was cold and snowy but I made it out to the stand. It was only a mile walk on an overgrown fire road but it felt like five miles. Being down for four months takes its toll on you. We had a good time and it's the camaraderie more than the deer why we all keep going back.

Yesterday's drive home was just plain nasty. We drove through the entire storm that hit Minnesota and extended from the northwest to southeast part of the state. My brother's house had 14" of snow and here we had about 8".

Betty took it on to blow the driveway. She had to use the big snowblower because we loaned the little one to friends who moved back from Hawaii. She did well until the final pass when she hit the rocks at the end and side of our driveway. A large rock jammed up in the blades and she could not get it out. When I got home I was able to chisel it out with a chisel and hammer. Luckily it was a flat rock and it cracked after a few hits with the hammer and chisel. If it had been round it would have been a hard fix. There was no damage and it's working just fine and I've done the driveway twice more since then. Hopefully it's done snowing for a few days.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and a great week.

Take care,
Mike

Default Happy Veterans Day

Good morning. Thank you, Veterans and to those continuing to serve. There are timed when the words "thank you" are very inadequate . . .

Ray, I salute you for serving through 3 wars.
One ride on the merry-go-round of war in Vietnam was enough for me. I can only speak for myself, but I have a feeling there's many who feel like I do---Once you are in combat operations for an extended period of time, It will definitely change your way of thinking and your life forever. If you're lucky enough to come home, like it or not, you bring part of it with you.
My grandfather was in W W 1, my dad was in W W 2, and my turn at bat came in Vietnam.
I hope all who are now, and will be in harms way the best but knowing at the same time some will not make it.
Thanks to all our forces and to all our allies.
I salute each and every one of you.
