Default One or Many ?

We met a couple on a recent cruise who have been on 51 cruises all with Royal Caribbean. We met another couple who have cruised with more than 10 different cruise lines .
My wife and I have cruised on 6 different lines to date.
Do you prefer one cruise line or do you like to try others ?

Our favorite cruise line is Celebrity. Lately we have been cruising quite a bit on Royal because we love their large ships. Since we are getting older we are going to stick with those two lines.
We have not have a bad cruise with either one and we are happy with our choices.

You win, Ray (no surprise there!) "Several" is quite an understatement!

We've cruised Carnival, Princess and NCL. Right now we're sticking with Carnival and Princess. We like their ship's and we also have credit card's with points for discount's and on board credit.

We're Platinum on both lines, which is nice .

Wish we could be Platinum and use credit card point's across all Carnival Corporation lines. That would be great!

We have two cruises booked on Royal and one on Celebrity. After that it could be a while before I cruise again because there are some land trips that we want to do.

Our cruise 2 weeks from today is with NCL .Our November 2016 cruise is with RCI.
We are planning a January 2017 with NCL to celebrate our 50th.wedding anniversary and possibly a cruise in May of this year with either NCL or RCI.

We signed up for 8 one day tours between March and June in NY and NJ.

I do hope one day to go on a CM cruise .

I like the diversity of the lines, so for me, I'd would, not consider sailing just one line, although I know some people, who do....

I began with Carnival, and my last was NCL..in between was Celebrity, Princess, HAL, Royal Caribbean...

In 2011 we met a couple that had switched to Celebrity after doing 40 cruises on Royal. They were completing their 100th cruise on Celebrity when we met them.
They were not planning of doing any other cruise lines.

As the saying goes, "Variety is the spice of life." While we are like many people and have our favorites, I can't imagine only cruising with one cruise line and not trying any others. Besides, if you stick with one cruise line, you may be eliminating ports. For example, RCCL and Celebrity don't go to Glacier Bay in Alaska. So if that's a place you want to see, you'd have to go with another cruise line.

We've been on 12 different cruise lines and hope to add a few more in the next couple of years. Our favorite to date is Paul Gauguin in Tahiti and it would take something very special to beat that. But had we just stuck with one cruise line, we never would have found out how wonderful Paul Gauguin is. We really hope to try Azamara shortly - we did Oceania, but have heard from many people that Azamara is better, so we'd like to find out for ourselves. Also on our bucket list would be Cunard, Windstar, Star Clippers, and Ama Waterways, just to mention a few. There are so many wonderful options and to us, the excitement is trying as many as we can.

There is no cruise line I would exclusively sail. All have different features and price ranges. Itinerary is the main reason for booking most of our cruises.

I've been on over 40 cruises and I think I am just top tier of the loyalty programs on Carnival, Celebrity and I'm four days short on NCL. I better book that four day, booze cruise, on Norwegian Sky. The nice thing about Celebrity is that you are also Diamond on Royal Caribbean.

I personally think it's a bit strange that someone would sail 40 cruises on one cruise line without trying another. Then again, if you like it then do it.

Take care,
Mike
