Default what are you reading

I couldn't find our old thread.

Anyway, I wanted to know. What are you guys reading. I just finished a quirky book called Bill the Vampire on kindle. It's first in a series.

I've preordered several books that will be coming out in the next three or four months. They are all urban fantasy.

I was looking at Lisa Gardner's new book that is coming out at the end of this month. I may preorder that, too. I like her books. She is the only thriller author that I read, although I really like her stuff. Can you guys recommend other writers like her?

I'm about to start Scary Dead Things, which is Bill part 2.

John Grisham is a popular guy. Not really my cup of tea but from what I understand a very good writer. You guys enjoy.

I'm reading the second of the "Best Of" and enjoying it SO much!

Just fisinshed Stuart Woods latest, and now reading Janet Evanovich's Turbo Twenty-Three..I love this series..Moraine,funny you should mention Lisa Gardner...I have a book sitting in my spare room of hers, I've not read...and thought..get to it! I think you should try Lisa Scottoline. Her Bennie Rosato series are great reads, and to me anyway, along the lines of Lisa.

I just finished a Harry Bosch book by Michael Connelly called A Darkness more than Light. I am about to start a mystery called Murder on St. Mark's Place by Victoria Thompson. I also like books by David Baldacci.

I just finished Lisa Gardner's Right Behind You. It had been sitting here a while waiting on my attention.

I just downloaded all of the Shetland books by Anne Cleeves last night. These books may be my next reading project.

What are you guys reading?

I recently finished 'Sahara' by Clive Cussler. It was a confusing read the first 50-60 pages but then it got to the point that it was hard to put down.

For quick reads I like Stuart Woods. Just finished 'Loitering with Intent' and have started 'Orchid Beach'.

I just finished a book by Dianne Mott Davidson in the Goldy Schultz series. Goldy is a caterer/murder solver. You might like these books. Don't know what I'll start next, since my Kindle just decided not to work!

I'm still reading the Donald Harington books (there are a lot!!). I'm also reading An Unexpected Afterlife by Dan Sofer, and DP Displaced Person by Margarita Meyendorff.
My attention span is not what it used to be!

Judy, I'm sorry your Kindle decided not to work correctly. I've found that rather than try to mess with it, it usually works to reboot
.

Judy, I hope that the reboot to the kindle helps.

My daughter got me a new kindle for my birthday. That makes three for me. I have an old kindle, a fire, and this new one.

I like that the old one keeps a charge pretty good...but it has no back light to it. The fire has the back light but doesn't hold that much of a charge. This one is supposed to do both. I noticed that it does not hold the charge that was claimed...but it does better than the fire. Anyway, I have enough that if the charge goes out on one I can switch reading to another one.

I am now on book three of the Shetland series. I like them. The series is loosely based on the books. You can read the books and see the TV series and enjoy both without them being the exact same thing.

Judy, I've seen the first season of Harry Bosch on Prime. If the books are as good as the show, they'll be great. I'm sure they are great since the books are usually better.

Len, Harry Bosch is by Michael Connelly.

It seems that nobody here has ever heard of the following authors:

Brad Meltzer ,a nephew of one of my friends
Archer Mayor ,a friend of a friend
Gerald Maxey ,one of my closest friends in high school
Gloria Malette, wife of a close college friend
John Stangel ,husband of a school friend

All of the above have written many books ,none are self published.
I know that the only people who have read my book are Manny ,Todd and "Venice."As I have said numerous times a rare book dealer in NY is selling an autographed copy of the book for $27.00 as are Amazon and Abe Books which I urged no one to buy .
I did have copies which I was going to office to CM people for FREE but I only have 2 left which I am saving for my grand daughters when they are old enough to read the content.
My book is a collection of poetry and short stories .One of the stories is a fictionalized account of my friend who was murdered in 1955 and is not suitable for young readers.
If I am ever able to have copies made I will gladly make them available.

Has anyone out there read Catherine Coulter's FBI series? Really good. Main character is Special Agent Dillon Savich.
