White Panty, I wish you a happy 4th as well.

But medical issues do not take a Holiday. I would love to see one day of peace, tranquility, free from suffering and violence all over the world. But unfortunately disease, suffering and strife just go on endlessly.

What we can do is remember what today stands for and celebrate the birthday of the USA.
I am happy that today I can enjoy this Holiday with friends and attend some nice festivities.
But 50 years ago I was facing real fireworks. The kind that come from rifle and machine gun barrels.

So as we celebrate I hope and pray that my Grandson and his generation will have more peace and a life with less stress.

Happy Birthday USA. May the future be kind to you and all who live here.

Morning Mates, Manuel, you're absolutely right, chronic pain and medical issues don't take a holiday. That being said, I wish all of you in the U.S. a Happy 4th of July. We will probably attend a 4th party with friends here in Nova Scotia (Jersey transplants!). They always put on a great firework show!

Default Happy Tuesday...Happy 4th of July, People

Good morning. Sun is shining brightly. Gonna be a hot one.

Health issues were in the forefront of our holiday. My DH had surgery on his upper arm a week ago. The Dr. said it was okay to go away for a couple of days. But Saturday night, the stitches opened the incision. So Sunday, we packed in a hurry and headed home and to the clinic where he was stitched up again.

Before that, we had a nice time. Hotel gave us a large room with our own patch of grass and a palm tree with a furry trunk! We took a nice drive down the coast toward San Diego and we had good food during our stay. Didn't get a chance to shop, though.

The coffee maker is luring me for a fresh steaming cup. Have a happy Fourth, everybody. Be grateful for your country.

Judy

Good morning. A HAPPY 4th to all. Judy sorry about the problem Keith had, sound like the stitches were not in very good. No real plans for us,
but will cook some ribs later for dinner and have to make cole slaw to go with it.

All have a great day.

Hi all,

A nice quiet Tuesday the 4th here in NW Ohio. Partly sunny and very warm. To be this way for several days. DH is spraying weeds and trimming bushes. There is a lot around here that has been ignored due to his work schedule. Now he has the time to do some of this work!!

I am doing okay. We picked up the littles from the sitter last night and took them home. I lifted nothing! My limit is 5 # and DGS#2 is almost 24 # at almost 10 months!! DGD was able to climb into my lap and we enjoyed some cuddling. Home to shower and to bed at a reasonable time. I have been sleeping fairly well. Leg pain for the most part is gone! I have some back pain and incisional pain from the surgery that should pass in time.

Glad to hear Keith was able to get restitched with no problems. Hoping James, Donna, Robin and her DH are doing well. And, to everyone else - hope you have a happy 4th and a great rest of the week.

I'm glad to see that everyone is doing fairly well. I did the "colonoscopy thing" yesterday and everything was good! They've really improved both the prep and the procedure since my last one 6 years ago.

We had our normal Tuesday. Went to the PO and dropped off our Homeowners insurance payment, then went to Kroger, which was interesting. It was crowded with people who don't usually grocery shop! There were people and cart's blocking the aisles, people who couldn't find what they were looking for (I helped a young lady who was looking for evaporated milk in the soup aisle!), and people who don't seem to understand what "15 items or less" means !

We expect to hear the fireworks from a nearby Country Club later, but hopefully, none from neighbors (it's illegal).

Happy 4th !

Thanks for that Trip.
The comments made by jennC were not about me, I might add they were about some of the other contributions from other posters.

To answer another comment, Yes I do receive, and am so glad to receive, messages from other forum members and their nice comments.

Life is like a box of chocolates...... and all that.
