Default Hello It's Saturday!

Morning Mates, sorry I have been MIA the past few days.
As you know James had the "big appointment" on Thursday, and although the news wasn't bad, it wasn't all good either. Doctor feels the Lymphoma is now progressing, slowly, but progressing, so he wants James to start treatment.
Chemo will be given by IV 2 consecutive days, once a month for 6 months. He is hoping that will give him a better quality of life, because right now he doesn't eat and can barely walk.
We don't have a start date yet, but should know in a few weeks.

In the meantime I have got him a rollator (a 4 wheeled walker) in hopes that he will get up and out and move as much as possible to keep what little strength he has.

So that's the news, needless to say we aren't doing much these days, sticking pretty close to home. I will be in a local parade today with my Little Sister, on a float honouring Special Olympics. Hoping it stops raining by parade time! (Parade is for our annual Lobster Carnival, a very big and important event in these parts).

Good morning 'mates. Donna....I certainly hope that James begins his treatment asap and that it gets him back to better health.

Nothing much planned today but may venture over to Celtfest if the rains hold off.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Good morning Mates

No rain here. Nothing but sunshine and warm temps. We do have a party to go to tonight.

Donna, I wish James the best and will keep you both in my prayers.

Have a nice weekend, folks.

Default Hello, It's Saturday!

Good morning. Keith says to tell you that it's going to be hot today.

I am up early. Slept poorly last night. Will have some of the banana bread Keith made last night with a cuppa and probably fall asleep reading the L.A. Times.

Donna, I wish James good health once again.

Hi all,

Donna, I am glad you finally have some answers and a plan of actions. I hope you can keep James moving and up and about so he does not lose any more strength. Prayers, thoughts and good wishes headed your way!

Thanks to Nancy, I got updates on Keith (the "Sunday" note, which I did read, apparently didn't cross my mind as the information I was looking for!!) and Robin's DH. Boy, shingles is nothing I wish to ANYONE! Hoping he is feeling better and healing from that nasty illness!

Nothing much happening here. DH did some of my housework yesterday. Maybe not as I would have done it, but it did get done, non-the-less! I hate not being able to do my own chores! He is painting our small deck (6' x 8'), the clothes line posts and working on rewiring our license plate light on the golf cart! Glad I am inside, as this is not a favorite job of his and the language might get pretty interesting!

(GROSS Warning!!) Well, my incision decided to open a bit and start seeping. I got an antibiotic from the doctor and was told to bind myself for the wound healing. Well, that lasted about five minutes!! I did use gauze, rolled up, and a tight bandaid for several days - didn't really help. The incision does look like it is healing and I sent pictures to both my DD's to check daily (one is a pediatrician and the other is a physical therapist - both have wound management in their backgrounds). However, it continues to seep and is driving the lower parts nuts with itching! Ugh!

Well, hoping all are healing that need to! Have a good day to all and a great weekend!
