Default Wake Up, It's Monday!

Morning Mates, it's a lovely warm and sunny Monday here, looks to be a good week weather-wise.

I was just thinking, this is a cruise site, and yet none of us have talked about cruises for a while. Is anybody booked in the near future?

We are still "researching", hoping to book something for late winter, early spring, but right now it all depends on what treatments James gets and how he responds to them. It would be nice to have a cruise to look forward to once the chemo is over in 6 months.

Good morning.

Donna....seems like Ray is the only one doing lots of cruising. We have our family holiday cruise coming up August 5th from Port Canaveral on Carnival Magic and everyone is looking forward to that.

Also, we have booked 2 - 14 day cruises in South America for January-February 2018. They are almost back to back with just 4 days between in Buenos Aires.

That will get us away for some of the winter.

Good morning Donna and all who follow.

It's quiet here at the moment. The cats woke me up, as usual.

Nothing planned for us other than the Glory in Feb that Ray, Robin, and I are booked. Laura is planning on going, and one or two others are thinking about it. I talked to TM, and he'd like to go but doesn't know if Mrs. TM's health will be at a point where she can at that point.

I hope that James comes through the chemo with flying colors and you find a cruise, even if it's not with us. You guys will need to be able to get away for a while.

Hope that everyone has a great day.

Good morning Mates

It's also a beautiful warm day here as it usually is.

Donna this is a cruising site but we also seem to cover health issues quite a bit. We have not travelled much this year because Mrs. TM has been dealing with back pain. We do have a cruise booked for June 2018. We also have a land trip booked to Hawaii in April. We plan to fly to San Antonio, TX to visit Mrs. sister who has Parkinson's and is not able to travel.
And last but not least we plan to attend my youngest daughter's wedding in in Ct.. That takes place on June 2nd.

Mrs. TM is doing therapy and is under a Doctor's care to get in better shape so that we can do all this travel.

Good morning all. Donna, right now we have two cruises booked,
the first is for Oct to Cuba on the NCL Sky and the other for Jan to Western Caribbean on the NCL Getaway. I have a feeling that we will only be able to cruise once a year from now on because Bruce will be retired in a year so income will be down. Have been out an watered my plants and that is my day.

Yesterday Bruce put in the new faucet in the kitchen, we had a Delta and for some reason it decided to slow down the pressure so Bruce contacted then and they gave us 70% off any one on their site, so we found one and got it. Well while putting it in we found that because it is taller than any we had ever had it had to sit to the front of the hole so we can put it on full pressure without hitting the window ledge, but it sure is nice having full pressure again. After putting that in he put new sliding baskets under the sink.
Plus in the morning he had mowed the yard.

All have a great day.

Hello, folks!

We're seeing a mix of sun and cloud in our little part of eastern Ontario, but rain is expected again.

Wayne and I made it back safely from a 3-week camping trip to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, where we enjoyed visiting with many family members as well as friends. Seeing Rollerdonna again was one of the highlights of our trip. We were home long enough to do laundry, repack the trailer, and head out for a weekend of square dancing and camping - always enjoyable! Now that we're settled back home for a couple of weeks, it's time to get caught up on all the chores outside as well as inside.

As Rollerdonna knows, we have a 9-night cruise booked in January. What she will laugh at is what we did the one day we were home last week - Royal Carribean has had a sale that allowed us to book the 5 night cruise immediately preceeding ours, in the same cabin, to give us a total of 14 nights over 2 cruises back to back. It's a long enough drive from Ontario to Florida that we try to make the drive worth while.

Nancy, hopefully you'll find that once Bruce retires, you'll still be able to do much of what you like to do. Wayne and I are both retired. We just find that we have to watch a little closer for the best prices and plan ahead. Often we'll take an inside cabin instead of a balcony. Sure we've given up a few little things, but it's been a matter of deciding where we want to spend our travel money. Beyond our square dancing, we don't go out much at home.

Have a great day, Mates! And to those of you suffering from health issues, I send my best wishes for as speedy a recovery as possible.

Only one time for all of our cruises have we booked a balcony, a few times outside but mainly inside, because we do that we have been able to cruise twice a year. And we really don't spend much of the daytime in the cabin so inside is fine.

Default Wake Up, It's Monday!

A late good morning to all. I surely wish we were booked for a cruise. It's been a long time for us. Unfortunately, we have been spending vacation money sitting in old people's facilities in MN and AZ. That's no vacation, but it costs the same.

There's a cruise out of San Diego (Celebrity, I think) that sails up the coast to Vancouver that I would like to do next summer. But I haven't done anything about it yet.

Back to today, though, my face is a mess. I have had an allergic reaction, to what, I don't know. But my face is a bright red and really itchy. Keith just brought home some cream that I'm supposed to smear on. A couple more days of hot itchy misery and I hope it will be gone.

Have a good day, all!

Judy

Last night I was at my daughter and son-in-laws home with my wife watching my grand kids .As the bedrooms are a flight up and I cannot walk down stairs my only option was to sleep on the couch .When I went to lie down I realized that my body was wider than the cushions and I could not sleep there. I opted to sit seated ,HUGE mistake. My herniated discs in my neck caused me to have the worse pain imaginable.
Tonight I am sleeping in my own bed.
