Default New Years Eve celebrations

What were your most unusual or interesting New Years Eve celebrations ?

I was in Times Square to see 1963 with my girlfriend at the time . I lost her in the crowd, reached for an arm and it was a Swedish sailor (male).

I enjoyed NYE celebrations in Las Vegas, San Antonio, On the Carnival Liberty, the Independence of the Seas and they were all excellent venues but my favorite was In Funchal on the island of Madeira. We stayed in a five star hotel, they had a super Gala event that lasted until the wee hours of the morning. We went with two other couples and we got to see a spectacular fireworks display from the terrace of our hotel. That was the best (so far).

If Mrs. TM can handle it, I would like to do another NYE cruise.

I would not have the energy to stay up that late on a ship.

Us older folks have to cheat. The thing to do is take an afternoon nap.
