Default Sad News, Ray B has passed away

It’s with a heavy heart that I report that Ray has passed away last night in his sleep.
Just off the phone with his granddaughter Laurie who called to tell me.

I just got off the Glory with Ray on the 24th, I’m I’m completely shock as he was doing so well .

Ray the world will miss you tremendously.
Godspeed.

Ray lived a life with the great love of his life, Helen, and enjoying his passion of cruising to the hilt. A long life well lived with family and friends who adored him. Helen has received her beloved. Rest In Peace our Cruisemate's Captain...

I'm so sorry. I watched him being interviewed online last Saturday and he seemed well. RIP Ray, along with your sweet Helen.

I'm very sad that Ray passed away, he was a great gentleman. I did have the pleasure of visiting him in his house and having dinner with him a couple of times.

Wayne and I managed to see Ray time after our cruise in January. It was the day before his 98th birthday. He wanted us to go out for lunch with him, and we finally managed to pick up the bill before he did! We told him it was his birthday present. Wayne offered to bring the car up to the door, but Ray laughed and said he needed the exercise! Despite needing a cane or scooter, depending on the distance, he remained spry to the end. We enjoyed a nice visit with him and his daughter, Celeste, who has been living with him for the past 2 or 3 years. I watched his internet TV interview Monday morning, and was chatting with him by Facebook Messenger. He was still talking about his next cruise.

According to Celeste, Ray passed away in his sleep, very peacefully. His heart wore out. Ray was a dear soul. We lost a special friend, but his family lost a father and grandfather. As we all know, Ray is happy now to be with his beloved Helen. Rest in peace, Ray.

Ray was a wonderful man, who knew how to live life, and was a friend to everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. He'll be missed by us all. I want to be just like Ray, when I grow up. RIP brother...

Very sad, when I heard the news of Rays passing. He lived life with love, , and enjoyed life, and went peacefully in his sleep to join Helen. An excellent life and death I'd say.

Ray and Helen, and then Ray must have cruised with us 20 or more times. I believe he did every CruiseMates group cruise I'd put together. An obvious love of people. I'll remember all the times I saw him, and I don't recall many times there wasn't a big smile on his face.

He blessed all our lives!

Default Sad News, Ray B has Passed Away

I hardly know what to say; that is such sad news. I am glad to say that Keith and I had the pleasure of sailing with Ray and Helen. He was one of those few people who really knew how to enjoy life.

Ray was loved everywhere it seems. When we were on Glory I was surprised how many people he knew from past cruises. People were genuinely happy to see him, he has touched so many peoples lives young and old. Ray really did love people.
