Default Good Morning Monday!

Morning mates, hope everyone had a nice Mothers Day with family.
It was a hard one for me with my mother gone years ago, my kids living far away, and my husband also gone. He always made sure I was honoured on Mothers Day, even though I was not his mother nor the mother of his children, he still managed to make it a special day for me. I miss him so much...

Lakers Fan, I just saw your question from Saturday about Halifax.
I would recommend a walk down the boardwalk from the cruise terminal. Pier 21 has a wonderful market geared for tourists. a little further down is the Atlantic Maritime Museum which has a great Titanic exhibit. If they seafood, especially fish'n chips, then a visit to Murphy's On the Water is a must, with a great view. Don't forget to try a Beaver Tail at one of the many kiosks for a tasty treat! If they want to walk a little further, there is the Citadel on the hill, a very old walled fort with everything military from historical times. Halifax is a beautiful city on a nice day, but fog tends to roll in regularly, a strange occurrence that permeates the waterfront in a cold damp blanket.

Nothing on tap for today except to get some more outside work done, but the gnats and black flies have appeared which makes that job very unpleasant!

Good morning.

I am sorry yesterday was difficult for you, Donna.

I'm watching the birds and squirrels in the back yard, waiting until it's time to go. Mom has a doctor's appointment.

Have a good day all.

A wet good morning to all. since last evening we have had 1.41 inches of rain and it is still raining pretty good. No real plans for today except that we will go have a belated Mother's Day dinner tonight since I was not feeling good last night.

All have a great day.

My thoughts are with Donna as it is totally understandable that yesterday was difficult for her. Sending some hugs her way.

We did go to a mid-afternoon brunch for mother's day with my wife, 2 daughters and grandson who really enjoyed the chocolate croissants. It was very enjoyable; the bill....not so much. Today begins about 3 weeks of work outside and inside the house. It is off to a good start as the weather is cooperating. Hope everyone has a good week.
