Default Ernie G.-- Atlantica???

Ernie, what did you think of the new Atlantica on your short trip overseas???
Were the areas around the pools small and cramped. I have read that it
was compared to some of the other new ships. Love to hear all your first
hand accounts on this new beauty!!! Thanks. John F. P.S. See you
on the Millennium next week!!!

...and a beauty she is! In many years in this Industry I must say that the CostaAtlantica is simply one of the most remarkable vessels afloat... I have never seen anything quite like her... superb detail and fine Italian art and craftsmanship evident everywhere... the public areas are just superb... the Cafe Florian is unlike anything I have ever seen at sea (a retreat for those of us who prefer classical music in a world class environment... an authentic reproduction of Venice's original, down to the tables and flooring). Cabins, from the minimum insides up are spacious and well designed ... with excellent bathrooms, spacious showers and plenty of closets and drawers. There are an abundance of balcony cabins, (85% of the Oceanview Cabins have spacious balconies) at affordable prices, For those on a budget, the CostaAtlantica offers obstructed view cabins (Category 4) which have French Balconies... floor to ceiling glass doors that open to admit fresh air and light... something really new and quite pleasant.

This is really a very very special vessel. Just wait till she arrives in the U.S. in November for her months of Caribbean voyages. She will surely be the ship of the year here. As word spreads, she'll be a top ticket and in great demand.

Stay tuned for a more in-depth review of this beautiful ship.

Ernie

So, you all are going on the Millennium. I was a group leader of 96 people who sailed on her in October. You will love this ship. I have a group sailing on CostaAtlantica next April already. It's the 9th National VA Cruise for VA employees/retirees and their family. We expect to have about 200 people in our group by the time we sail in April.

Thanks for the info on the Atlantica. Waiting for your full report. Hope it will be soon. We on sailing from Ft. Lauderdale on January 7 and read a very negative review a few days back on the ship. Glad to see you have a different viewpoint. Le us have the full story. Thanks again.
