This will be our first cruise on a Costa ship...we hope for the best (reviews on "Cruisemates" have NOT been good)...we would appreciate any info/opinions you cruisers out there may have about the ship, staff, food, and...will there be some "mature" English-speaking passengers aboard????...just wondering...
Also...are any of you out there in cyberland going on this particular cruise??? If so, please contact us??
During the Caribbean season 1999 to 2000 (October to last April) Costa carried about 85% American/Canadian passengers. This is not unlike most other lines operating in the Caribbean. The November 26 sailing should follow the norm. You'll have lots and lots of company. The comments you have read about the demographics of the Costa passengers relates to their operation in EUROPE. It is a very common misunderstanding.
Well... no one... no one has sailed on the Atlantica in Caribbean service. It is really quite a different ship. Many of the reviews that are posted continue either to miss that point or ignore it. What I can tell you is that it is truly a very unique and beautiful vessel. Go determined to enjoy it... and you will. Ernie
