Today "Gazzettino", an italian newspaper, reports that Costa Riviera Xmas cruise, started Sunday afternoon from Savona to Egypt and East Med had serious problems connected with hydraulic sistem of cabins.
The problem started on Sunday night and on Monday morning it became very dangerous because a lot of cabins had a lot of water on the floor overflow from washbasins and wc and showers, the ship arrived,as scheduled, in Naples at 2pm and a lot of people who were at the pier say to have seen the ship bent on the right side, a lot of passangers stopped their cruise (on board there were about 500 passangers) for 100 english passangers an airplane was chartered, for others there was a total refound.
Few passangers tried to continue but the morning after, in Messina, the captain decided to stop the cruise and Costa Crociere in an official press announced the total refound for all passangers and a future 50% discount for another cruise.
It's sad all this fact because it was the Xmas cruise and now there are a lot of doubts about the winter season of the ship.
