Has anybody ever sailed the Costa Romantica or the Costa Allegra. Am considering both ships for summer cruises -- the Romantica to Fjords -- the Allegra to the Canary Islands. Any info on the ships would be appreciated.
Have sailed on both... they are great vessels. If you enjoy an international passenger complement, you will have a good time on them. Allegra is smaller than the Romantica... both are charming vessels. They make a lot of effort to make you comfortable... on board special Host/Hostesses for American guests, seating at dinner with English speaking passengers, English speaking guides on shore excursions, etc. It can be great.
Just a reminder 90% of your fellow passengers on a European based cruise on Costa will be speaking another language other than English( if you speak Italian..no problem)
