Atlantica food?

Have never sailed before, going on the 15th of April and have ?'s about the food. What is included in the price and what is extra. I understand that the ristoante magnifico is an alternative that charges. What about the buffet and pizzeria? What is a drink card? Is the food good? I keep hearing not so good reviews. Help please.

The Ristorante Magnifico is on the CostaVictoria, not the Atlantica. On the Atlantica, the alternative restaurant is the Club Atlantica. $19.95 per person, including gratuity. On the Atlantica, as on most ships, it is easier to tell you what is NOT included... alcoholic beverages and soft drinks (coke, etc). Juice, iced tea, coffee, tea, punch, etc. are offered without charge. No charge for ANY food (except the Club Atlantica)... in the main restaurant, buffet areas, pizzeria, grills, etc. The food is quite good and you should have a great time!

One more comment re: food, they have a nice variety of ethnic foods each day outside near the pool, one day it was Italian, or French, Chinese, Mexican, German, quite a nice change from the buffet. Also at 4pm to 5pm they serve sandwiches, snacks and a nice variety of pastries with tea, coffee etc. up on deck, something to tide you over till dinner, and the pizzaria is open from 11am till 2am and the pizza wasn`t too bad, jean

Jean... yes... that "ethnic" buffet each day at lunch is really nice... and quite unusual.
