I have just booked my first cruise with Costa Atlantica for Jan.2004. I have never been on a cruise and have no idea what to expect. Can anyone give me any tips on such things as what I would need to pack for clothes etc. Also has anyone been sea sick?
RE; motion sickness.........Go to Wal-Mart & buy lots of paper lunch bags. They are handy because of their small size, you can easily keep a couple of dozen in your purse.
If you have any other questions just Daddy 001.I'm the Dad to ask.
Hi I have been on 23 cruises and have never gott motion sickness. I get sick traveling in a plane and the car and was were nervous when we took the first cruise. It's the best vacation.
The main thing to remember is to not over pack. Most of the time swim suits and shorts are day time atire as weather is hot. breackfast and lunch is usually casual as well so only evening diner atire need be adressed. As for sea sickness. gravel pills work well but most of these big ships are so stable you feel no motion at all.
I should be so lucky....we are on the same cruise.Elbow room is what I need.Is your mother free? As for the speedo.....Mmmm.......na-a-a.It just ain't me.
I agree with Ernie. I was on the Atlantica this past march, in my opinion the food and service was outstanding. All bad reviews on the Atlantica should be taken with a grain of salt. Go with an open mind and you'll have a wonderful time. Remember you are cruising Italian style. The food is prepared this way (Italian style). As for clothes, Bob is right on about the attire. This was also my first cruise. Enjoy!

Oh I am going with an open mind. I'm sure everything is going to be perfect. I'm not to worried about the food I'm sure there will be something I will like.
