Costa Atlantica, Jan. 4 - 11, 2004 booked - Thanks
Through this and other message boards and various comments, we booked our cruise about a month ago. We received attractive pricing through www.icruise.com for a balcony (7143) and will be travelling with 2 girls - 12 and 13. The Italian experience and toga party will be different, while the girls have sights on the water slide albeit open for 2 hours/day and the Costa Kids program. Hopefully, we are disembarking by 10:00 a.m. for a 12:15 return from Fort Lauderdale.
Think you and your girls will be pleased with the ship...very clean, wide variety of food...something for all..the balcany is also nice...we were on the Atlantica two years ago and had a ball....going on the Mediterranea Novemeber 30..a sister ship. Have fun.
Ken a tip for you about the balcony door. If you open it all the way and put a deck chair in front of it it will stay open allowing you to come and go from your room. Be aware though that when you open the hall door you will get quite the breeze. To get the old tastebuds going watch Italian cooking shows, Biba's Italian Kitchen, Mario Batali, Carlos cooks Italian, etc. Don't forget to check out the Madame Butterfly lounge, when I was on the music was awsome. Enjoy the ship and your cruise.
