Default Costa Atlantica & W Carribbean ???s

HI! We are booked on the Costa Atlantica to the Western Carribbean (Smooth Cruise) in Jan 04 along w a small group of other relatives. I have a few questions.

Bottled Water - What kind is offerred on the ship?

Kids activities - our daughter will be with us, anyone have any experience w/ the Costa Kids program?

Shore Excursions - Is it better to book the W/ Carribbean ones via Costa or wait till we get into port?

Pools - How are they on the Atlantica?

Activities on the Ship?

Fitness Center, Basketball/Tennis Court - Any Info?

Room Service for non suite rooms - Is it available?

Standard Rooms w/ balcony - will my wife, my daughter & I have enought room?

Restaurant w/ extra charge - worth it?

This is the first cruise for everyone in our small group, so we aren't 100 percent sure what to expect. We've read everything on the Costa Website and the mixed reviews in the forums.

At this point, we are hungry for as much info as possible. Anyone have a past schedule of the daily activities, etc?

And any other good info would be appreciated.

Thanks to everyone here for your help.

Mark, I was on the Atlantica doing the E. Caribbean.

Pools; two amidship for the kids, one aft for the adults.

Room service; available for all cabins, be sure to tip a couple of bucks each time.

Room size; I don't know how old your daughter is so I can't really say if there is adequate space. It was quite comfortable for just my wife and I, Plus you have the added space of the balcony. Although thay say not to keep balcony door open, we did and enjoyed stepping right out onto it. You can keep door open by placing one of the deck chairs in front of it when it is fully open. Be careful when you open the cabin door when you do this as there is a small change in pressure.

Club Atlantica; well worth the extra charge in my opinion.

Above all relax and enjoy yourselves.

The fitness center is GREAT! Use it as much as possible.

The pools are 2 for kids and 1 just for adults

The kids program is pretty good up until ages around 10

I dined in the regular dining room but if you want more privacy i guess you should go to the Club Atlantica
