Hello fellow Cruisers;

We'll be cruising on the eastern caribbean route this march,anyone joining us?

nope, we are going on apr 10th, on the Mediterranea, the sister ship, from what i have been reading there is not much diiierence except for the decor. your input would be appreciated, ie food, on board activities and so n so. have a nice voyage and drop us a line when you get back, bon-voyage

Me, My fiance, and 20 of her family members will be there!

Any excursion/meal tips youve picked up from these boards?

Welcome aboard!:From what I been reading on the boards we should all have a great time,.;-).
San Juan: we plan to take a taxi to El Condado it's the safest place with the best hotels and restaurants.would love to see the morro castle but it will close at 5 pm,maybe a quick taxi ride around the outside walls.
St Tomas:Paradise point is a must as you ride the cable cars up to the mountain top
there are nice shops and restaurant with a great view of the bay,also not to be missed are the beaches for some fun in the sun and snorkling,I been told that the place to go
is maygans bay,coki beach next to coral castle and Saphyre beach.
Catalina Island: fun in the sun again should be a good place to relax as you sip on dominican rum and enjoy the costa free lunch.
La Romana:Tour or taxi to los Altos De Chavon for a show and maybe dinner at the restaurants.
Nassau: A taxi ride to Atlantis for limited tour,pools are off limits for cruise ship passengers as well as the best parts of the resort.

Warning on the DR there is a malaria warning!..take some bug repellant with at least 20% deed..
I sure hope this blood suckers dont bite me if they do they will regret it.;-).I plan to maintain a alcohol level of at least 0.10 % when i disimbark in DR.

BTW: where are your guys coming from?

hey there, i believe i read somewhere that ft morrow closes at 6pm, the small ft closes at 5 pm guess u will fing out whenu get there, either way a good time will be had by all

We're all coming from WA state, most of us in the Seattle.

you can book your excursions on line through shoretrips.com.they are about half the price of booking them through the ship.hope this helps
