Port tours in Alexandria Egypt

I am planning a cruise on the Romantica which stops in Alexandria, Egypt. Does anyone know if there are tours to the pyramids from the ship.

Yes, we went there on the Romantica last year. There are 4 or5 tours to choose from. Because of the distance to the pyramids, they are all ful day tours with a long bus ride each way. But it is very much worth it. You can choose between very serious tours (pyramids + museums in Cairo) or more gentle ones (pyramids + boat cruise on Nile + shopping).

Also, the costa cruise line site has brief descriptions of tours that are available, but it is a terrible site and hard to navigate. Good Luck

costa just got the information in for the shore tours for 2005 europe. You can call and have them faxed to you, thats what i did.
