Default letter of consent

I was thinking of bringing my grandaughter on our next cruise and this is our first time bringing her without her mother or father. My question is do we need some type of letter from her mother saying she can sail with us???

my wife thinks no, she will be a registered passenger, you will have her birth certificate too, you will need a letter from her mom granting permission if she should need to be treated by the medical staff. just in case sheck with your TA, or dirtectly with the cruise line if booking with the, keep checking unitll you receive the right answers, have fun

What countries you're going to will also matter in what documentation needed.

For example, years ago, I needed a notarized letter from my parents indicating I was NOT going to Mexico to get an abortion. I was living in California & was 18 at the time.

Have fun!

You'd need a notorized letter signed by both parents giving you permission to take the child out of the country.
