is the ship serena non smoking

HI
We are having a family reunion on costa serena in June 2008
We are all vegetarians and non smokers. do you think we will survive? Please let know as I am handling this and if things go wrong I will have 34 people on my head.

The Costa ships are certainly NOT non smoking., though there are non smoking areas.

Plus on Costa ships generally a significant number of passengers are European, and the % of them who smoke is higher than in North America.

If the smoking is an issue you may want to look at NCL cruise line, who have a new and fairly restrictive policy about smoking in public rooms onboard.

We've been on Costa a few times, both Caribbean and European/Meditteranean crusies. Smoking is allowed on their ships but it is not any different than smoking allowed on Carnival, RCI, HAL, NCL etc...
At the minimum you are guaranteed that smoing ain't allowed in any of the dining rooms/restaurants/buffets nor is it allowed in the main theater/show lounge.
Have a marvellous time on Costa and enjoy their wonderful selection of food! Will you survive? Yummie........You'll love their slection of various European/Meditteranean salads!
And btw, they have some of the best shows to be found on the high seas, in my opinion.
