Costa Concordia Raising Gets Final Approval
The Italian government has given final approval to raise the Costa Concordia later this month, weather permitting and pending issuance of the final safety certificates.

No specific day or time has been announced as they will be evaluating sea and atmospheric conditions for the optimal environment. I think they may show it live at '"

Of course, once raised the ship is to be taken away and scrapped. However prior to scrapping they will be conducting more intensive investigations on the ship, and of course, they still have some missing human remains to recover from inside.

Costa Concordia parbuckling (righting the ship) is now scheduled to begin at 6am Monday. This is midnight Sunday night going into Monday eastern time, 11pm Sunday central time, and so forth. It is expected that it could take 'all day' according to the team.

The time and date will be given a final approval by 2pm Sunday, Italian time, when they assess the latest sea conditions.

I don't know if they will provide a live video feed at the parbuckling site. But it is located here.

It's a "Go" for the parbuckling. They are now committed to starting in about 11 hours. Once they start they cannot stop or get a do-over. It is expected to take 12 hours, so if it gets off to a good start we in North America should still be able to see several hours of it and the completion tomorrow morning.
