I am a female who lives in Canada and would love to know where to start when trying to get a job on a cruiseship. I am hardworking, friendly, outgoing, I've worked in customer service for the past 3+ years and I would love to travel and work with people from all over the world. I am putting myself out there and asking for someone to help me to get started in this search for a cruise ship position, please write me back,
I considered this job myself as I currently work for an airline and quite fancied the idea of working on a cruise ship. There are lots of websites that might help you but I definately think approaching the individual cruiselines is best as many agencies charge a fee etc. Celebity website states that you can e-mail your CV (Resume) to celebrityjobs@celebritycruises.com. There is also a fax number (305-539-6169). I'd advise you to go to the cruise line websites for contact information as most of the major lines have a link to career information.
Best of Luck!!
From Louise
ps. Feel free to e-mail me if I can help you in any way.
Hey Terry Look up the website www.cruisedreamjob.com
it's an hiring agent out of Whitby Ontario. Not the greatest in prepping you for what happens your first 2 /3 weeks on board but they do have the contacts and can get you on if you meet the qualifications
any questions do not hesitate to email me
good luck
Dave
Check on the site imperialmajesty.com. At the bottom it will say ask about employment. Click on this and send a letter. It is a smaller ship, but I started on a smaller ship, and I prefer it much more than the big lines. It is somewhere to start anyways. Send them a cover letter, any certificates you may have acheived, and send them a copy of a medical report (most applicants don't do this and yours will get noticed before other applicants with no experience.) Then ever two weeks send a post card reminding them of you and don't give up! Good luck, email me and tell me how the search is going. Ask me questions if you need to also!
