Default Surge protector?

Hi all!

I am leaving in two weeks for my 1st cruise line job. I have had people tell me to buy a surge protector. Where does one go to get one and how much do they cost? I use an electric razor, so I suppose I do need one.

Anything else I shouldn't forget to bring?

Thanks

I'll be on the Carnival Sensation. Yes, my friend got on NCLA's Pride of Aloha and lasted about a week and a half. He hated ship life and came right back. It all worked out; as he just got hired by an airline as a Flight Attendant.

He keeps telling me that I am going to hate ship life. But, I think my situation will be a little better than his. He was a Junior Waiter and worked 10 hour days and shared a cabin with three others. I will be working as a Port Lecturer and will have my own cabin.

We will see!

I'm surprised they allowed you to have one. CCL doesn't allow them in the cabins...

Surge protectors are a good idea, though shipboard electricity is much better on newer ships. You will have regular 110 voltage.

Lecturer is a great job compared to a waiter, by the way. You will LOVE shipboard life.
