I have recently discoverd my love for travel and work. i am currently an au-pair in america and am loving the sights and work. I would so much love to work on a cruise ship either as part of the wait staff or preferably, as a child care ataff. i have spent the last 6 months working in close quaters with children (as their au-pair) and i love and am good at my job.
Would i need to have any qualifications to be a chilcare worker aboard a cruise ship? or will my 12 months as an au pair be enough?
any information on this would be greatly appreciated!
I would say 12 months as an au pair is a good start. A youth staff job on a cruise ship is usually an entry-level position as far as cruise staff goes - so the pay is not grand. It can also involve short-term commitments, say two-weeks during the holidays.
