i just had a great interview with the canadian recruiter for starboard (she's sending me all the necessary information, and i have a face to face meeting in a month with her). i'm fairly confident i'll get this position (she seemed very impressed on the phone).
i have an interview with crystal cruises on tuesday for a position in the gift shops. i know my chances are drastically reduced here, as they only have three ships, but i do have extensive retail experience and a business degree, so hopefully i'll have what they're looking for.
if you had to choose between both companies, which would you choose and why?
Shoppes, as I call them have off every time we are in port. Sometimes they have to do inventory, late late late....They work very long hours, but they have a good time and are very tight when they become friends. I had a lot of respect for them...They also put up with a lot of crap from guests, you know, returns and all...I loved going to visit them though...You will love it...
