I met one of the dancers on my cruise 2 weeks ago, and during the last show he hurt his knee. During some of the shows I noticed some of the dancers had wrist/knee supports, so I assume you are expected to work through something minor... but my friend was on the same exact cruise the week after me, and I asked her to say "hi" to that dancer for me but she didn't see him and decided to ask and apparently he was going to be "off duty" for a while.
Other than the shows, I only saw the dancers help out with Bingo and Trivia games, so as opposed to a waitstaff who is expected to perform on a daily basis, what happens in that type of situation... there are only a few male dancers so who would take his place/how long would he get off?
I apologize for the slightly inarticulate wording. I'm just curious.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I injured dancer has to do the best he can - there are no onboard replacements. They would likely either get better or be off the ship at the next home port and replaced.
I have seen dancers get fired and replaced in a matter of days.
