Help! with employment questions

I am trying to get some information on employment on a cruise ship from someone who has worked on a cruise ship or still does.

The pros and cons of working on a ship, ships to work on and which ones not to?

living conditions, pay, hours of work, and details of what is required for you to do , any time off? Do you get to go off the boat and sight see?

Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated

I have done research but have not seem to get clear cut answers on some of these issues so I figured the best ones to give me these answers would be someone who has gone thru this working on ship

Re: Help! with employment questions

go a few lines down in this form and read

"Links to cruise line employment"

If you visit all the links, you'll get answers to all your questions and more . . . .

except for the 'best lines to work for . . . . "

Bigger ships = more corporate atmosphere

Smaller ships = more family atmosphere

Also depends on the type of job you have the qualifications to do

Re: Help! with employment questions
Thanks sz

I have done plenty of research on a lot of websites about the cruise ships I guess I wanted to get answers from actual employees who have experienced all of this first hand.
I do not want to sign a contract with a company for x months and things be completely different once I get on aboard.
So just trying to do my homework to see if it is something I am interested in pursuing.
