interview

Iv got an interview this week hopefully (think it will be over the phone as theyre in Miami and Im in England). Anybody got any tips? Cant believe my efforts to get a job might actually be paying off. WOW very excited. Did read somewhere if you get an interview you are hired but that might not be the case for a phone interview?
Its for gift shop work so if any body has any words of advice/encouragement that would be greeat.
Thanks in advance...

Hey, no worries you will do great. I used to work in the gift shops and also had my interview over the phone, it was really easy. I presume it's with Starboard the interview? From what I remember it took around 15 mins and the questions are just standard interview questions, nothing tricky. Good Luck & if you have any other questions let me know!

Hey, my interview is with Evoke, but they havent scheduled yet. I had an email saying it would be scheduled for the next week which was last week but still heard nothing. Frightened that if I keep emailing and harrassing them I will just annoy them... but my friend who works on ships said they are just busy and that it is better to keep on at them? What do you reckon? Plus the woman I have for contact never picks up the phone. I got her assistant first thing this morning and she said she would ring back today but theres only like an hour till they close.
Just sent my pack again for starboard as the other one came back to me after 3 weeks lost in the post! Desp to be on a ship by xmas but its looking less and less likely the later it gets. How much did you earn with starboard? Just trying to budget bills that will be going out while I am away.
Its so exciting but I just want to go now! been waiting ages for this interview and thought I would have a job by now.

Hey honey

don't worry about them not getting back...they never do on the day they promise...but they will.
Its the truth, they are very busy.
I am a purser...I had my interview in person, also in England...in leeds. The guy told me he would tell me in 2 days whether I got the job, ...4 week later, after I was a nervous wreck...they called me!and now i am about to join my fourth ship (The spirit), my fourth contract and I love it!

So don't worry...they will be in touch and I am sure you will do fine.
